  1. Possessor of the highest rank, Lord of power: He makes the inspiration to light by His command upon whom He pleases of His servants, that he may warn (men) of the day of meeting.

  2. The like of what befell the people of Nuh and Ad and Samood and those after them, and Allah does not desire injustice for (His) servants;

  3. So you shall remember what I say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah, Surely Allah sees the servants.

  4. Those who were proud shall say: Surely we are all in it: surely Allah has judged between the servants.

  5. And your Lord says: Call upon Me, I will answer you; surely those who are too proud for My service shall soon enter hell abased.

  6. Say: I am forbidden to serve those whom you call upon besides Allah when clear arguments have come to me from my Lord, and I am commanded that I should submit to the Lord of the worlds.

  7. But their belief was not going to profit them when they had seen Our punishment; (this is) Allah's law, which has indeed obtained in the matter of His servants, and there the unbelievers are lost.

  8. When their messengers came to them from before them and from behind them, saying, Serve nothing but Allah, they said: If our Lord had pleased He would certainly have sent down angels, so we are surely unbelievers in that with which you are sent.

  9. And among His signs are the night and the day and the sun and the moon; do not prostrate to the sun nor to the moon; and prostrate to Allah Who created them, if Him it is that you serve.

  10. Whoever does good, it is for his own soul, and whoever does evil, it is against it; and your Lord is not in the least unjust to the servants.

  11. Allah is Benignant to His servants; He gives sustenance to whom He pleases, and He is the Strong, the Mighty.

  12. That is of which Allah gives the good news to His servants, (to) those who believe and do good deeds. Say: I do not ask of you any reward for it but love for my near relatives; and whoever earns good, We give him more of good therein; surely Allah is Forgiving, Grateful.

  13. And He it is Who accepts repentance from His servants and pardons the evil deeds and He knows what you do;

  14. And if Allah should amplify the provision for His servants they would certainly revolt in the earth; but He sends it down according to a measure as He pleases; surely He is Aware of, Seeing, His servants.

  15. And thus did We reveal to you an inspired book by Our command. You did not know what the Book was, nor (what) the faith (was), but We made it a light, guiding thereby whom We please of Our servants; and most surely you show the way to the right path:

  16. And they assign to Him a part of His servants; man, to be sure, is clearly ungrateful.

  17. And they make the angels-- them who are the servants of the Beneficent Allah-- female (divinities). What! did they witness their creation? Their evidence shall be written down and they shall be questioned.

  18. And they say: If the Beneficent Allah had pleased, we should never have worshipped them. They have no knowledge of this; they only lie.

  19. And when Ibrahim said to his father and his people: Surely I am clear of what you worship,

  20. And ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent Allah?

  21. He was naught but a servant on whom We bestowed favor, and We made him an example for the children of Israel.

  22. Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path:

  23. O My servants! there is no fear for you this day, nor shall you grieve.

  24. Say: If the Beneficent Allah has a son, I am the foremost of those who serve.

  25. Saying: Deliver to me the servants of Allah, surely I am a faithful messenger to you,

  26. So go forth with My servants by night; surely you will be pursued:

  27. And when men are gathered together they shall be their enemies, and shall be deniers of their worshipping (them).

  28. And mention the brother of Ad; when he warned his people in the sandy plains,-- and indeed warners came before him and after him-- saying Serve none but Allah; surely I fear for you the punishment of a grievous day.

  29. To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah).

  30. A sustenance for the servants, and We give life thereby to a dead land; thus is the rising.

  31. My word shall not be changed, nor am I in the least unjust to the servants.

  32. And I have not created the jinn and the men except that they should serve Me.

  33. And He revealed to His servant what He revealed.

  34. So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him).

  35. Before them the people of Nuh rejected, so they rejected Our servant and called (him) mad, and he was driven away.

  36. He it is who sends down clear communications upon His servant, that he may bring you forth from utter darkness into light; and most surely Allah is Kind, Merciful to you.

  37. Indeed, there is for you a good example in Ibrahim and those with him when they said to their people: Surely we are clear of you and of what you serve besides Allah; we declare ourselves to be clear of you, and enmity and hatred have appeared between us and you forever until you believe in Allah alone-- but not in what Ibrahim said to his father: I would certainly ask forgiveness for you, and I do not control for you aught from Allah-- Our Lord! on Thee do we rely, and to Thee do we turn, and to Thee is the eventual coming:

  38. Maybe, his Lord, if he divorce you, will give him in your place wives better than you, submissive, faithful, obedient, penitent, adorers, fasters, widows and virgins.

  39. Allah sets forth an example to those who disbelieve the wife of Nuh and the wife of Lut: they were both under two of Our righteous servants, but they acted treacherously towards them so they availed them naught against Allah, and it was said: Enter both the fire with those who enter.

  40. That you should serve Allah and be careful of (your duty to) Him and obey me:

  41. For surely if Thou leave them they will lead astray Thy servants, and will not beget any but immoral, ungrateful (children)

  42. And that when the servant of Allah stood up calling upon Him, they wellnigh crowded him (to death).

  43. A fountain from which the servants of Allah shall drink; they make it to flow a (goodly) flowing forth.

  44. So enter among My servants,

  45. A servant when he prays?

  46. And they were not enjoined anything except that they should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, upright, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and that is the right religion.

  47. So let them serve the Lord of this House

  48. I do not serve that which you serve,

  49. Nor do you serve Him Whom I serve:

  50. Nor am I going to serve that which you serve,

  51. Nor are you going to serve Him Whom I serve:
