  1. The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, so serve Him and be patient in His service. Do you know any one equal to Him?

  2. By no means! They shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them.

  3. There is no one in the heavens and the earth but will come to the Beneficent Allah as a servant.

  4. Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance:

  5. And certainly We revealed to Musa, saying: Travel by night with My servants, then make for them a dry path in the sea, not fearing to be overtaken, nor being afraid.

  6. And whoever is in the heavens and the earth is His; and those who are with Him are not proud to serve Him, nor do they grow weary.

  7. And We did not send before you any messenger but We revealed to him that there is no god but Me, therefore serve Me.

  8. And they say: The Beneficent Allah has taken to Himself a ! son. Glory be to Him. Nay! they are honored servants

  9. They said: We found our fathers worshipping them.

  10. He said: What! do you then serve besides Allah what brings you not any benefit at all, nor does it harm you?

  11. Fie on you and on what you serve besides Allah; what! do you not then understand?

  12. And We made them Imams who guided (people) by Our command, and We revealed to them the doing of good and the keeping up of prayer and the giving of the alms, and Us (alone) did they serve;

  13. Therefore We responded to him and took off what harm he had, and We gave him his family and the like of them with them: a mercy from Us and a reminder to the worshippers.

  14. Surely this Islam is your religion, one religion (only), and I am your Lord, therefore serve Me.

  15. Surely you and what you worship besides Allah are the firewood of hell; to it you shall come.

  16. And certainly We wrote in the Book after the reminder that (as for) the land, My righteous servants shall inherit it.

  17. Most surely in this is a message to a people who serve

  18. This is due to what your two hands have sent before, and because Allah is not in the least unjust to the servants.

  19. And among men is he who serves Allah (standing) on the verge, so that if good befalls him he is satisfied therewith, but if a trial afflict him he turns back headlong; he loses this world as well as the hereafter; that is a manifest loss.

  20. And they serve besides Allah that for which He has not sent any authority, and that of which they have no knowledge; and for the unjust there shall be no helper.

  21. O you who believe! bow down and prostrate yourselves and serve your Lord, and do good that you may succeed.

  22. And certainly We sent Nuh to his people, and he said: O my people! serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; will you not then guard (against evil)?

  23. So We sent among them a messenger from among them, saying: Serve Allah, you have no god other than Him; will you not then guard (against evil)?

  24. And they said: What! shall we believe in two mortals like ourselves while their people serve us?

  25. Surely there was a party of My servants who said: O OUI . Lord! we believe, so do Thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and Thou art the best of the Merciful ones.

  26. And marry those among you who are single and those who are fit among your male slaves and your female slaves; if they are needy, Allah will make them free from want out of His grace; and Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.

  27. Allah has promised to those of you who believe and do good that He will most certainly make them rulers in the earth as He made rulers those before them, and that He will most certainly establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them, and that He will most certainly, after their fear, give them security in exchange; they shall serve Me, not associating aught with Me; and whoever is ungrateful after this, these it is who are the. transgressors.

  28. Blessed is He Who sent down the Furqan upon His servant that he may be a warner to the nations;

  29. And on the day when He shall gather them, and whatever they served besides Allah, He shall say: Was it you who led astray these My servants, or did they themselves go astray from the path?

  30. And they serve besides Allah that which neither profits them nor causes them harm; and the unbeliever is a partisan against his Lord.

  31. And rely on the Ever-living Who dies not, and celebrate His praise; and Sufficient is He as being aware of the faults of His servants,

  32. And the servants of the Beneficent Allah are they who walk on the earth in humbleness, and when the ignorant address them, they say: Peace.

  33. And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel?

  34. And We revealed to Musa, saying: Go away with My servants travelling by night, surely you will be pursued.

  35. When he said to his father and his people: What do you worship?

  36. They said: We worship idols, so we shall be their votaries.

  37. He said: Have you then considered what you have been worshipping:

  38. And it shall be said to them: Where are those that you used to worship;

  39. And certainly We gave knowledge to Dawood and Sulaiman, and they both said: Praise be to Allah, Who has made us to excel many of His believing servants.

  40. So he smiled, wondering at her word, and said: My Lord! grant me that I should be grateful for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I should do good such as Thou art pleased with, and make me enter, by Thy mercy, into Thy servants, the good ones.

  41. And what she worshipped besides Allah prevented her, surely she was of an unbelieving people.

  42. And certainly We sent to Samood their brother Salih, saying: Serve Allah; and lo! they became two sects quarrelling with each other.

  43. Say: Praise be to Allah and peace on His servants whom He has chosen: is Allah better, or what they associate (with Him)?

  44. I am commanded only that I should serve the Lord of this city, Who has made it sacred, and His are all things; and I am commanded that I should be of these who submit;

  45. Those against whom the sentence has become confirmed will say: Our Lord! these are they whom we caused to err; we caused them to err as we ourselves did err; to Thee we declare ourselves to be clear (of them); they never served Us.

  46. And those who yearned for his place only the day before began to say: Ah! (know) that Allah amplifies and straitens the means of subsistence for whom He pleases of His servants; had not Allah been gracious to us, He would most surely have abased us; ah! (know) that the ungrateful are never successful.

  47. And (We sent) Ibrahim, when he said to his people: Serve Allah and be careful of (your duty to) Him; this is best for you, if you did but know:

  48. You only worship idols besides Allah and you create a lie surely they whom you serve besides Allah do not control for you any sustenance, therefore seek the sustenance from Allah and serve Him and be grateful to Him; to Him you shall be brought back.

  49. And to Madyan (We sent) their brother Shuaib, so he said: O my people! serve Allah and fear the latter day and do not act corruptly in the land, making mischief.

  50. O My servants who believe! surely My earth is vast, therefore Me alone should you serve.

  51. Allah makes abundant the means of subsistence for whom He pleases of His servants, and straitens them for whom (He pleases) surely Allah is Cognizant of all things.

  52. Allah is he Who sends forth the winds so they raise a cloud, then He spreads it forth in the sky as He pleases, and He breaks it up so that you see the rain coming forth from inside it; then when He causes it to fall upon whom He pleases of His servants, lo! they are joyful

  53. Do they not then consider what is before them and what is behind them of the heaven and the earth? If We please We will make them disappear in the land or bring down upon them a portion from the heaven; most surely there is a sign in this for every servant turning (to Allah).

  54. They made for him what he pleased of fortresses and images, and bowls (large) as watering-troughs and cooking-pots that will not move from their place; give thanks, O family of Dawood! and very few of My servants are grateful.

  55. Say: Surely my Lord amplifies the means of subsistence for whom He pleases of His servants and straitens (them) for whom (He pleases), and whatever thing you spend, He exceeds it in reward, and He is the best of Sustainers.

  56. And on the day when He will gather them all together, then will He say to the angels: Did these worship you?

  57. They shall say: Glory be to Thee! Thou art our Guardian, not they; nay! they worshipped the jinn; most of them were believers in them.

  58. And when Our clear communications are recited to them, they say: This is naught but a man who desires to turn you away from that which your fathers worshipped. And they say: This is naught but a lie that is forged. And those who disbelieve say of the truth when it comes to them: This is only clear enchantment.

  59. And of men and beasts and cattle are various species of it likewise; those of His servants only who are possessed of knowledge fear Allah; surely Allah is Mighty, Forgiving.

  60. And that which We have revealed to you of the Book, that is the truth verifying that which is before it; most surely with respect to His servants Allah is Aware, Seeing.

  61. Then We gave the Book for an inheritance to those whom We chose from among Our servants; but of them is he who makes his soul to suffer a loss, and of them is he who takes a middle course, and of them is he who is foremost in deeds of goodness by Allah's permission; this is the great excellence.

  62. And were Allah to punish men for what they earn, He would not leave on the back of it any creature, but He respites them till an appointed term; so when their doom shall come, then surely Allah is Seeing with respect to His servants.

  63. And what reason have I that I should not serve Him Who brought me into existence? And to Him you shall be brought back;

  64. Alas for the servants! there comes not to them an messenger but they mock at him.

  65. Did I not charge you, O children of Adam ! that you should not serve the Shaitan? Surely he is your open enemy,

  66. And that you should serve Me; this is the right way.

  67. Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship

  68. Save the servants of Allah, the purified ones.

  69. Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones.

  70. Surely he was of Our believing servants.

  71. When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship?

  72. Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out?

  73. Surely he was one of Our believing servants.

  74. Surely they were both of Our believing servants.

  75. But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones.

  76. Surely he was one of Our believing servants.

  77. But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones.

  78. So surely you and what you worship,

  79. We would certainly have been the servants of Allah-- the purified ones.

  80. And certainly Our word has already gone forth in respect of Our servants, the messengers:

  81. Bear patiently what they say, and remember Our servant Dawood, the possessor of power; surely he was frequent m returning (to Allah).

  82. And We gave to Dawood Sulaiman, most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah).

  83. And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment.

  84. And take in your hand a green branch and beat her with It and do not break your oath; surely We found him patient; most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent m returning (to Allah).

  85. And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight.

  86. Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones.

  87. Surely We have revealed to you the Book with the truth, therefore serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience.

  88. Now, surely, sincere obedience is due to Allah (alone) and (as for) those who take guardians besides Him, (saying), We do not serve them save that they may make us nearer to Allah, surely Allah will judge between them in that in which they differ; surely Allah does not guide him aright who is a liar, ungrateful.

  89. If you are ungrateful, then surely Allah is Self-sufficient above all need of you; and He does not like ungratefulness in His servants; and if you are grateful, He likes it in you; and no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another; then to your Lord is your return, then will He inform you of what you did; surely He is Cognizant of what is in the breasts.

  90. Say: O my servants who believe! be careful of (your duty to) your Lord; for those who do good in this world is good, and Allah's earth is spacious; only the patient will be paid back their reward in full without measure.

  91. Say: I am commanded that I should serve Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience.

  92. Say: Allah (it is Whom) I serve, being sincere to Him in my obedience:

  93. Serve then what you like besides Him. Say: The losers surely are those who shall have lost themselves and their families on the day of resurrection; now surely that is the clear loss.

  94. They shall have coverings of fire above them and coverings beneath them; with that Allah makes His servants to fear, so be careful of (your duty to) Me, O My servants!

  95. And (as for) those who keep off from the worship of the idols and turn to Allah, they shall have good news, therefore give good news to My servants,

  96. Is not Allah sufficient for His servant? And they seek to frighten you with those besides Him; and whomsoever Allah makes err, there is no guide for him.

  97. Say: O Allah! Originator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen! Thou (only) judgest between Thy servants as to that wherein they differ.

  98. Say: O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely He is the Forgiving the Merciful.

  99. Say: What! Do you then bid me serve others than Allah, O ignorant men?

  100. Nay! but serve Allah alone and be of the thankful.
