  1. And do not marry the idolatresses until they believe, and certainly a believing maid is better than an idolatress woman, even though she should please you; and do not give (believing women) in marriage to idolaters until they believe, and certainly a believing servant is better than an idolater, even though he should please you; these invite to the fire, and Allah invites to the garden and to forgiveness by His will, and makes clear His communications to men, that they may be mindful.

  2. Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, and He is firm in power, regulating the affair, there is no intercessor except aher His permission; this is Allah, your Lord, therefore serve Him; will you not then mind?

  3. A mention of the mercy of your Lord to His servant Zakariya.

  4. Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance:

  5. Therefore We responded to him and took off what harm he had, and We gave him his family and the like of them with them: a mercy from Us and a reminder to the worshippers.

  6. And certainly We wrote in the Book after the reminder that (as for) the land, My righteous servants shall inherit it.

  7. Bear patiently what they say, and remember Our servant Dawood, the possessor of power; surely he was frequent m returning (to Allah).

  8. And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment.

  9. And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight.

  10. So you shall remember what I say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah, Surely Allah sees the servants.

  11. And mention the brother of Ad; when he warned his people in the sandy plains,-- and indeed warners came before him and after him-- saying Serve none but Allah; surely I fear for you the punishment of a grievous day.

  12. To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah).
