يَحْيَىٰ

Appears 8 times in the Quran. (No Root)
  1. Then the angels called to him as he stood praying in the sanctuary: That Allah gives you the good news of Yahya verifying a Word from Allah, and honorable and chaste and a prophet from among the good ones.

  2. And Zakariya and Yahya and Isa and Ilyas; every one was of the good;

  3. When you were on the nearer side (of the valley) and they were on the farthest side, while the caravan was in a lower place than you; and if you had mutually made an appointment, you would certainly have broken away from the appointment, but-- in order that Allah might bring about a matter which was to be done, that he who would perish might perish by clear proof, and he who would live might live by clear proof; and most surely Allah is Hearing, Knowing;

  4. O Zakariya! surely We give you good news of a boy whose name shall be Yahya: We have not made before anyone his equal.

  5. O Yahya! take hold of the Book with strength, and We granted him wisdom while yet a child

  6. Whoever comes to his Lord (being) guilty, for him is surely hell; he shall not die therein, nor shall he live.

  7. So We responded to him and gave him Yahya and made his wife fit for him; surely they used to hasten, one with another In deeds of goodness and to call upon Us, hoping and fearing and they were humble before Us.

  8. Then therein he shall neither live nor die.
