تَقْدِير

Appears 5 times in the Quran. (Root: قدر)
  1. He causes the dawn to break; and He has made the night for rest, and the sun and the moon for reckoning; this is an arrangement of the Mighty, the Knowing.

  2. He, Whose is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and Who did not take to Himself a son, and Who has no associate in the kingdom, and Who created everything, then ordained for it a measure.

  3. And the sun runs on to a term appointed for it; that is the ordinance of the Mighty, the Knowing.

  4. So He ordained them seven heavens in two periods, and revealed in every heaven its affair; and We adorned the lower heaven with brilliant stars and (made it) to guard; that is the decree of the Mighty, the Knowing.

  5. (Transparent as) glass, made of silver; they have measured them according to a measure.
