عَيْنهُمْ

Appears 5 times in the Quran. (Root: عين)
  1. And when they hear what has been revealed to the messenger you will see their eyes overflowing with tears on account of the truth that they recognize; they say: Our Lord! we believe, so write us down with the witnesses (of truth).

  2. Nor in those who when they came to you that you might carry them, you said: I cannot find that on which to carry you; they went back while their eyes overflowed with tears on account of grief for not finding that which they should spend.

  3. They whose eyes were under a cover from My reminder and they could not even hear.

  4. Being niggardly with respect to you; but when fear comes, you will see them looking to you, their eyes rolling like one swooning because of death; but when the fear is gone they smite you with sharp tongues, being niggardly of the good things. These have not believed, therefore Allah has made their doing naught; and this is easy to Allah.

  5. And certainly they endeavored to turn him from his guests, but We blinded their eyes; so taste My chastisement and My warning.
