  1. And when it is said to him, guard against (the punish ment of) Allah; pride carries him off to sin, therefore hell is sufficient for him; and certainly it is an evil resting place.

  2. Say to those who disbelieve: You shall be vanquished, and driven together to hell; and evil is the resting-place.

  3. And he shall speak to the people when in the cradle and when of old age, and (he shall be) one of the good ones.

  4. A brief enjoyment! then their abode is hell, and evil is the resting-place.

  5. When Allah will say: O Isa son of Marium! Remember My favor on you and on your mother, when I strengthened you I with the holy Spirit, you spoke to the people in the cradle and I when of old age, and when I taught you the Book and the wisdom and the Taurat and the Injeel; and when you determined out of clay a thing like the form of a bird by My permission, then you breathed into it and it became a bird by My permission, and you healed the blind and the leprous by My permission; and when you brought forth the dead by My permission; and when I withheld the children of Israel from you when you came to them with clear arguments, but those who disbelieved among them said: This is nothing but clear enchantment.

  6. They shall have a bed of hell-fire and from above them coverings (of it); and thus do We reward the unjust.

  7. For those who respond to their Lord is good; and (as for) those who do not respond to Him, had they all that is in the earth and the like thereof with it they would certainly offer it for a ransom. (As for) those, an evil reckoning shall be theirs and their abode is hell, and evil is the resting-place.

  8. But she pointed to him. They said: How should we speak to one who was a child in the cradle?

  9. Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs.

  10. Whoever disbelieves, he shall be responsible for his disbelief, and whoever does good, they prepare (good) for their own souls,

  11. Hell; they shall enter it, so evil is the resting-place.

  12. He Who made the earth a resting-place for you, and made in it ways for you that you may go aright;

  13. And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out.

  14. And I adjusted affairs for him adjustably;

  15. Have We not made the earth an even expanse?
