  1. And whoever turns himself away from the remembrance of the Beneficent Allah, We appoint for him a Shaitan, so he becomes his associate.

  2. And most surely it is a reminder for you and your people, and you shall soon be questioned.

  3. How shall they be reminded, and there came to them an Messenger making clear (the truth),

  4. So have We made it easy in your tongue that they may be mindful.

  5. Have you then considered him who takes his low desire for his god, and Allah has made him err having knowledge and has set a seal upon his ear and his heart and put a covering upon his eye. Who can then guide him after Allah? Will you not then be mindful?

  6. And mention the brother of Ad; when he warned his people in the sandy plains,-- and indeed warners came before him and after him-- saying Serve none but Allah; surely I fear for you the punishment of a grievous day.

  7. Do they then wait for aught but the hour that it should come to them all of a sudden? Now indeed the tokens of it have (already) come, but how shall they have their reminder when it comes on them?

  8. And those who believe say: Why has not a chapter been revealed? But when a decisive chapter is revealed, and fighting is mentioned therein you see those in whose hearts is a disease look to you with the look of one fainting because of death. Woe to them then!

  9. O you men! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; surely the most honorable of you with Allah is the one among you most careful (of his duty); surely Allah is Knowing, Aware.

  10. To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah).

  11. Most surely there is a reminder in this for him who has a heart or he gives ear and is a witness.

  12. We know best what they say, and you are not one to compel them; therefore remind him by means of the Quran who fears My threat.

  13. And of everything We have created pairs that you may be mindful.

  14. And continue to remind, for surely the reminder profits the believers.

  15. Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman.

  16. What! for you the males and for Him the females!

  17. Therefore turn aside from him who turns his back upon Our reminder and does not desire anything but this world's life.

  18. And that He created pairs, the male and the female

  19. And certainly We left it as a sign, but is there anyone who

  22. Has the reminder been made to light upon him from among us? Nay! he is an insolent liar!

  23. And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind?

  24. And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind?

  25. And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind?

  26. And certainly you know the first growth, why do you not then mind?

  27. We have made it a reminder and an advantage for the wayfarers of the desert.

  28. Has not the time yet come for those who believe that their hearts should be humble for the remembrance of Allah and what has come down of the truth? And that they should not be like those who were given the Book before, but the time became prolonged to them, so their hearts hardened, and most of them are transgressors.

  29. The Shaitan has gained the mastery over them, so he has made them forget the remembrance of Allah; they are the Shaitan's party; now surely the Shaitan's party are the losers.

  30. O you who believe! when the call is made for prayer on Friday, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trading; that is better for you, if you know.

  31. But when the prayer is ended, then disperse abroad in the land and seek of Allah's grace, and remember Allah much, that you may be successful.

  32. O you who believe! let not your wealth, or your children, divert you from the remembrance of Allah; and whoever does that, these are the losers.

  33. Allah has prepared for them severe chastisement, therefore be careful of (your duty to) Allah, O men of understanding who believe! Allah has indeed revealed to you a reminder,

  34. And those who disbelieve would almost smite you with their eyes when they hear the reminder, and they say: Most surely he is mad. Those who disbelieved show their ridicule in their eyes when they hear the message and say, "He is crazy!"

  35. And it is naught but a reminder to the nations. It is in fact a message to the world.

  36. So that We may make it a reminder to you, and that the retaining ear might retain it.

  37. Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind.

  38. And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil).

  39. So that We might try them with respect to it; and whoever turns aside from the reminder of his Lord, He will make him enter into an afflicting chastisement:

  40. And remember the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him with (exclusive) devotion.

  41. Surely this is a reminder, then let him, who will take the way to his Lord.

  42. And We have not made the wardens of the fire others than angels, and We have not made their number but as a trial for those who disbelieve, that those who have been given the book may be certain and those who believe may increase in faith, and those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this parable? Thus does Allah make err whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases, and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He Himself; and this is naught but a reminder to the mortals.

  43. What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition

  44. Nay! it is surely an admonition.

  45. So whoever pleases may mind it.

  46. And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive.

  47. Then He made of him two kinds, the male and the female.

  48. There surely came over man a period of time when he was a thing not worth mentioning.

  49. And glorify the name of your Lord morning and evening.

  50. Surely this is a reminder, so whoever pleases takes to his Lord a way.

  51. Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation,

  52. The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after,

  53. About what! You are one to remind of it.

  54. Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him?

  55. Nay! surely it is an admonishment.

  56. So let him who pleases mind it.

  57. It is naught but a reminder for the nations,

  58. Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit.

  59. He who fears will mind,

  60. And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays.

  61. Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder.

  62. And hell is made to appear on that day. On that day shall man be mindful, and what shall being mindful (then) avail him?

  63. And the creating of the male and the female,

  64. And exalted for you your esteem?
