  1. Say: O followers of the Book! why do you hinder him who believes from the way of Allah? You seek (to make) it crooked, while you are witness, and Allah is not heedless of what you do.

  2. Who hinder (people) from Allah's way and seek to make it crooked, and they are disbelievers in the hereafter.

  3. And do not lie in wait in every path, threatening and turning away from Allah's way him who believes in Him and seeking to make it crooked; and remember when you were few then He multiplied you, and consider what was the end of the mischief-makers.

  4. Who turn away from the path of Allah and desire to make it crooked; and they are disbelievers in the hereafter.

  5. (To) those who love this world's life more than the hereafter, and turn away from Allah's path and desire to make it crooked; these are in a great error.

  6. (All) praise is due to Allah, Who revealed the Book to His servant and did not make in it any crookedness.

  7. You shall not see therein any crookedness or unevenness.

  8. On that day they shall follow the inviter, there is no crookedness in him, and the voices shall be low before the Beneficent Allah so that you shall not hear aught but a soft sound.

  9. An Arabic Quran without any crookedness, that they may guard (against evil).
