  1. Surely they who deviate from the right way concerning Our communications are not hidden from Us. What! is he then who is cast into the fire better, or he who comes safe on the day of resurrection? Do what you like, surely He sees what you do.

  2. The Originator of the heavens and the earth; He made mates for you from among yourselves, and mates of the cattle too, multiplying you thereby; nothing like a likeness of Him; and He is the Hearing, the Seeing.

  3. And if Allah should amplify the provision for His servants they would certainly revolt in the earth; but He sends it down according to a measure as He pleases; surely He is Aware of, Seeing, His servants.

  4. And Firon proclaimed amongst his people: O my people! is not the kingdom of Egypt mine? And these rivers flow beneath me; do you not then see?

  5. These are clear proofs for men, and a guidance and a mercy for a people who are sure.

  6. Have you then considered him who takes his low desire for his god, and Allah has made him err having knowledge and has set a seal upon his ear and his heart and put a covering upon his eye. Who can then guide him after Allah? Will you not then be mindful?

  7. And certainly We had established them in what We have not established you in, and We had given-- them ears and eyes and hearts, but neither their ears, nor their eyes, nor their hearts availed them aught, since they denied the communications of Allah, and that which they mocked encompassed them.

  8. Those it is whom Allah has cursed so He has made them deaf and blinded their eyes.

  9. And He it is Who held back their hands from you and your hands from them in the valley of Mecca after He had given you victory over them; and Allah is Seeing what you do.

  10. Surely Allah knows the unseen things of the heavens and the earth; and Allah sees what you do.

  11. To give sight and as a reminder to every servant who turns frequently (to Allah).

  12. Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp.

  13. And in your own souls (too); will you not then see?

  14. Is it magic then or do you not see?

  15. The eye did not turn aside, nor did it exceed the limit.

  16. Their eyes cast down, going forth from their graves as if they were scattered locusts,

  17. And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye.

  18. And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see--

  19. He it is who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, and He is firm in power; He knows that which goes deep down into the earth and that which comes forth out of it, and that which comes down from the heaven and that which goes up into it, and He is with you wherever you are; and Allah sees what you do.

  20. Allah indeed knows the plea of her who pleads with you about her husband and complains to Allah, and Allah knows the contentions of both of you; surely Allah is Hearing, Seeing.

  21. He it is Who caused those who disbelieved of the followers of the Book to go forth from their homes at the first banishment you did not think that they would go forth, while they were certain that their fortresses would defend them against Allah; but Allah came to them whence they did not expect, and cast terror into their hearts; they demolished their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers; therefore take a lesson, O you who have eyes!

  22. Your relationship would not profit you, nor your children on the day of resurrection; He will decide between you; and Allah sees what you do.

  23. He it is Who created you, but one of you is an unbeliever and another of you is a believer; and Allah sees what you do.

  24. Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder?

  25. Then turn back the eye again and again; your look shall '~ come back to you confused while it is fatigued.

  26. Have they not seen the birds above them expanding (their wings) and contracting (them)? What is it that withholds them save the Beneficent Allah? Surely He sees everything.

  27. Say: He it is Who brought you into being and made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts: little is it that you give thanks.

  28. So you shall see, and they (too) shall see,

  29. Their looks cast down, abasement shall overtake them; and they were called upon to make obeisance indeed while yet they were safe.

  30. And those who disbelieve would almost smite you with their eyes when they hear the reminder, and they say: Most surely he is mad. Those who disbelieved show their ridicule in their eyes when they hear the message and say, "He is crazy!"

  31. But nay! I swear by that which you see,

  32. And that which you do not see.

  33. (Though) they shall be made to see each other. The guilty one would fain redeem himself from the chastisement of that day by (sacrificing) his children,

  34. Their eyes cast down; disgrace shall overtake them; that is the day which they were threatened with.

  35. So when the sight becomes dazed,

  36. Nay! man is evidence against himself,

  37. Surely We have created man from a small life-germ uniting (itself): We mean to try him, so We have made him hearing, seeing.

  38. Their eyes cast down.

  39. Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him.
