Appears 9 times in the Quran.

  1. He shall lead his people on the resurrection day, and bring them down to the fire; and evil the place to which they are brought.

  2. And there came travellers and they sent their water-drawer and he let down his bucket. He said: O good news! this is a youth; and they concealed him as an article of merchandise, and Allah knew what they did.

  3. And there is not one of you but shall come to it; this is an unavoidable decree of your Lord.

  5. Surely you and what you worship besides Allah are the firewood of hell; to it you shall come.

They said: We cannot water until the shepherds take away (their sheep) from the water, and our father is a very old man.

  8. And certainly We created man, and We know what his mind suggests to him, and We are nearer to him than his life-vein.

  9. And when the heaven is rent asunder, and then becomes red like red hide.
