Appears 12 times in the Quran.

  1. They said: Call on your Lord for our sake to make it plain to us what she is. Musa said: He says, Surely she is a cow neither advanced in age nor too young, of middle age between that (and this); do therefore what you are commanded.

  2. He said: My Lord! appoint a sign for me. Said He: Your sign is that you should not speak to men for three days except by signs; and remember your Lord much and glorify Him in the evening and the morning.

  3. So he went forth to his people from his place of worship, then he made known to them that they should glorify (Allah) morning and evening.

  4. They shall not hear therein any vain discourse, but only: Peace, and they shall have their sustenance therein morning and evening.

  5. And they say: The stories of the ancients-- he has got them written-- so these are read out to him morning and evening.

  6. And glorify Him morning and evening.

  7. Therefore be patient; surely the promise of Allah is true; and ask protection for your fault and sing the praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning.

  8. That you may believe in Allah and His Messenger and may aid him and revere him; and (that) you may declare His glory, morning and evening.

  9. And certainly a lasting chastisement overtook them in the morning.

  10. Then We have made them virgins,

  11. Maybe, his Lord, if he divorce you, will give him in your place wives better than you, submissive, faithful, obedient, penitent, adorers, fasters, widows and virgins.

  12. And glorify the name of your Lord morning and evening.
