Appears 51 times in the Quran. (No Root)
  1. Surely Allah is not ashamed to set forth any parable-- (that of) a gnat or any thing above that; then as for those who believe, they know that it is the truth from their Lord, and as for those who disbelieve, they say: What is it that Allah means by this parable: He causes many to err by it and many He leads aright by it! but He does not cause to err by it (any) except the transgressors,

  2. He it is Who has revealed the Book to you; some of its verses are decisive, they are the basis of the Book, and others are allegorical; then as for those in whose hearts there is perversity they follow the part of it which is allegorical, seeking to mislead and seeking to give it (their own) interpretation. but none knows its interpretation except Allah, and those who are firmly rooted in knowledge say: We believe in it, it is all from our Lord; and none do mind except those having understanding.

  3. Then as to those who disbelieve, I will chastise them with severe chastisement in this world and the hereafter, and they shall have no helpers.

  4. And as to those who believe and do good deeds, He will pay them fully their rewards; and Allah does not love the unjust.

  5. On the day when (some) faces shall turn white and (some) faces shall turn black; then as to those whose faces turn black: Did you disbelieve after your believing? Taste therefore the chastisement because you disbelieved.

  6. And as to those whose faces turn white, they shall be in Allah's mercy; in it they shall-abide.

  7. Then as for those who believe and do good, He will pay them fully their rewards and give them more out of His grace; and as for those who disdain and are proud, He will chastise them with a painful chastisement. And they shall not find for themselves besides Allah a guardian or a helper

  8. Then as for those who believe in Allah and hold fast by Him, He will cause them to enter into His mercy and grace and guide them to Himself on a right path.

  9. And whenever a chapter is revealed, there are some of them who say: Which of you has it strengthened in faith? Then as for those who believe, it strengthens them in faith and they rejoice.

  10. And as for those in whose hearts is a disease, it adds uncleanness to their uncleanness and they die while they are unbelievers.

  11. So as to those who are unhappy, they shall be in the fire; for them shall be sighing and groaning in it:

  12. And as to those who are made happy, they shall be in the garden, abiding in it as long as the heavens and the earth endure, except as your Lord please; a gift which shall never be cut off.

  13. O my two mates of the prison! as for one of you, he shall give his lord to drink wine; and as for the other, he shall be crucified, so that the birds shall eat from his head, the matter is decreed concerning which you inquired.

  14. He sends down water from the cloud, then watercourses flow (with water) according to their measure, and the torrent bears along the swelling foam, and from what they melt in the fire for the sake of making ornaments or apparatus arises a scum like it; thus does Allah compare truth and falsehood; then as for the scum, it passes away as a worthless thing; and as for that which profits the people, it tarries in the earth; thus does Allah set forth parables.

  15. As for the boat, it belonged to (some) poor men who worked on the river and I wished that I should damage it, and there was behind them a king who seized every boat by force.

  16. And as for the boy, his parents were believers and we feared lest he should make disobedience and ingratitude to come upon them:

  17. And as for the wall, it belonged to two orphan boys in the city, and there was beneath it a treasure belonging to them, and their father was a righteous man; so your Lord desired that they should attain their maturity and take out their treasure, a mercy from your Lord, and I did not do it of my own accord. This is the significance of that with which you could not have patience.

  18. He said: As to him who is injust, we will chastise him, then shall he be returned to his Lord, and He will chastise him with an exemplary chastisement:

  19. And as for him who believes and does good, he shall have goodly reward, and We will speak to him an easy word of Our command.

  20. But as to him who repents and believes and does good, maybe he will be among the successful:

  21. Then as to those who believed and did good, they shall be made happy in a garden.

  22. And as to those who disbelieved and rejected Our communications and the meeting of the hereafter, these shall be brought over to the chastisement.

  23. As for those who believe and do good, the gardens are their abiding-place; an entertainment for what they did.

  24. And as for those who transgress, their abode is the fire; whenever they desire to go forth from it they shall be brought back into it, and it will be said to them: Taste the chastisement of the fire which you called a lie.

  25. Then as to Ad, they were unjustly proud in the land, and they said: Who is mightier in strength than we? Did they not see that Allah Who created them was mightier than they in strength, and they denied Our communications?

  26. And as to Samood, We showed them the right way, but they chose error above guidance, so there overtook them the scourge of an abasing chastisement for what they earned.

  27. Then as to those who believed and did good, their Lord will make them enter into His mercy; that is the manifest achievement.

  28. As to those who disbelieved: What! were not My communications recited to you? But you were proud and you were a guilty people.

  29. Then if he is one of those drawn nigh (to Allah),

  30. And if he is one of those on the right hand,

  31. And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones,

  32. Then as to Samood, they were destroyed by an excessively severe punishment.

  33. And as to Ad, they were destroyed by a roaring, violent blast.

  34. Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Lo! read my book:

  35. And as for him who is given his book in his left hand he shall say: O would that my book had never been given me:

  36. And as to the deviators, they are fuel of hell:

  37. Then as for him who is inordinate,

  38. And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from low desires,

  39. As for him who considers himself free from need (of you),

  40. And as to him who comes to you striving hard,

  41. Then as to him who is given his book in his right hand,

  42. And as to him who is given his book behind his back,

  43. And as for man, when his Lord tries him, then treats him with honor and makes him lead an easy life, he says: My Lord honors me.

  44. But when He tries him (differently), then straitens to him his means of subsistence, he says: My Lord has disgraced me.

  45. Then as for him who gives away and guards (against evil),

  46. And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah),

  47. Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him).

  48. And as for him who asks, do not chide (him),

  49. And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it).

  50. Then as for him whose measure of good deeds is heavy,

  51. And as for him whose measure of good deeds is light,
