قَبْلكَ

Appears 32 times in the Quran. (Root: قبل)
  1. And who believe in that which has been revealed to you and that which was revealed before you and they are sure of the hereafter.

  2. But if they reject you, so indeed were rejected before you messengers who came with clear arguments and scriptures and the illuminating book.

  3. Have you not seen those who assert that they believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They desire to summon one another to the judgment of the Shaitan, though they were commanded to deny him, and the Shaitan desires to lead them astray into a remote error.

  4. But the firm in knowledge among them and the believers believe in what has been revealed to. you and what was revealed before you, and those who keep up prayers and those who give the poor-rate and the believers in Allah and the last day, these it is whom We will give a mighty reward.

  5. And certainly messengers before you were mocked at, but that which they mocked at encompassed the scoffers among them.

  6. And certainly messengers before you were rejected, but they were patient on being rejected and persecuted until Our help came to them; and there is none to change the words of Allah, and certainly there has come to you some information about the messengers.

  7. And certainly We sent (messengers) to nations before you then We seized them with distress and affliction in order that they might humble themselves.

  8. But if you are in doubt as to what We have revealed to you, ask those who read the Book before you; certainly the truth has come to you from your Lord, therefore you should not be of the disputers.

  9. And We have not sent before you but men from (among) the people of the towns, to whom We sent revelations. Have they not then travelled in the land and seen what was the end of those before them? And certainly the abode of the hereafter is best for those who guard (against evil); do you not then understand?

  10. And messengers before you were certainly mocked at, but I gave respite to those who disbelieved, then I destroyed them; how then was My requital (of evil)?

  11. And certainly We sent messengers before you and gave them wives and children, and it is not in (the power of) an messenger to bring a sign except by Allah's permission; for every term there is an appointment.

  12. And certainly We sent (messengers) before you among the nations of yore.

  13. And We did not send before you any but men to whom We sent revelation-- so ask the followers of the Reminder if you do not know--

  14. By Allah, most certainly We sent (messengers) to nations before you, but the Shaitan made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so he is their guardian today, and they shall have a painful punishment.

  15. (This is Our) course with regard to those of Our messengers whom We sent before you, and you shall not find a change in Our course.

  16. And We did not send before you any but men to whom We sent revelation, so ask the followers of the reminder if you do not

  17. And We did not send before you any messenger but We revealed to him that there is no god but Me, therefore serve Me.

  18. And We did not ordain abiding for any mortal before you. What! Then if you die, will they abide?

  19. And certainly messengers before you were scoffed at, then there befell those of them who scoffed that at which they had scoffed.

  20. And We did not send before you any messenger or prophet, but when he desired, the Shaitan made a suggestion respecting his desire; but Allah annuls that which the Shaitan casts, then does Allah establish His communications, and Allah is Knowing, Wise,

  21. And We have not sent before you any messengers but they most surely ate food and went about in the markets; and We have made some of you a trial for others; will you bear patiently? And your Lord is ever Seeing.

  22. And you were not on this side of the mountain when We called, but a mercy from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner came before you, that they may be mindful.

  23. And certainly We sent before you messengers to their people, so they came to them with clear arguments, then We gave the punishment to those who were guilty; and helping the believers is ever incumbent on Us.

  24. Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay! it is the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, that they may follow the right direction.

  25. And We have not given them any books which they read, nor did We send to them before you a warner.

  26. And if they call you a liar, truly messengers before you were called liars, and to Allah are all affairs returned.

  27. And certainly, it has been revealed to you and to those before you: Surely if you associate (with Allah), your work would certainly come to naught and you would certainly be of the losers.

  28. And certainly We sent messengers before you: there are some of them that We have mentioned to you and there are others whom We have not mentioned to you, and it was not meet for a messenger that he should bring a sign except with Allah's permission, but when the command of Allah came, judgment was given with truth, and those who treated (it) as a lie were lost.

  29. Naught is said to you but what was said indeed to the messengers before you; surely your Lord is the Lord of forgiveness and the Lord of painful retribution.

  30. Thus does Allah, the Mighty, the Wise, reveal to you, and (thus He revealed) to those before you.

  31. And thus, We did not send before you any warner in a town, but those who led easy lives in it said: Surely we found our fathers on a course, and surely we are followers of their footsteps.

  32. And ask those of Our messengers whom We sent before you: Did We ever appoint gods to be worshipped besides the Beneficent Allah?
