صِرَٰط

Appears 43 times in the Quran. (Root: صرط)
  1. Keep us on the right path.

  2. The path of those upon whom Thou hast bestowed favors. Not (the path) of those upon whom Thy wrath is brought down, nor of those who go astray.

  3. The fools among the people will say: What has turned them from their qiblah which they had? Say: The East and the West belong only to Allah; He guides whom He likes to the right path.

  4. (All) people are a single nation; so Allah raised prophets as bearers of good news and as warners, and He revealed with them the Book with truth, that it might judge between people in that in which they differed; and none but the very people who were given it differed about it after clear arguments had come to them, revolting among themselves; so Allah has guided by His will those who believe to the truth about which they differed and Allah guides whom He pleases to the right path.

  5. Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path.

  6. But how can you disbelieve while it is you to whom the communications of Allah are recited, and among you is His Messenger? And whoever holds fast to Allah, he indeed is guided to the right path.

  9. With it Allah guides him who will follow His pleasure into the ways of safety and brings them out of utter darkness into light by His will and guides them to the right path.

  13. Say: Surely, (as for) me, my Lord has guided me to the right path; (to) a most right religion, the faith of Ibrahim the upright one, and he was not of the polytheists.

  14. And do not lie in wait in every path, threatening and turning away from Allah's way him who believes in Him and seeking to make it crooked; and remember when you were few then He multiplied you, and consider what was the end of the mischief-makers.

  18. He said: This is a right way with Me:

  19. And Allah sets forth a parable of two men; one of them is dumb, not able to do anything, and he is a burden to his master; wherever he sends him, he brings no good; can he be held equal with him who enjoins what is just, and he (himself) is on the right path?

  26. And most surely you invite them to a right way.

  27. And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way.

  28. Certainly We have revealed clear communications, and Allah guides whom He pleases to the right way.

  29. And those to whom the knowledge has been given see that which has been revealed to you from your Lord, that is the truth, and it guides into the path of the Mighty, the Praised.

  30. On a right way.

  31. And that you should serve Me; this is the right way.

  32. And if We please We would certainly put out their eyes, then they would run about groping for the way, but how should they see?

  36. And thus did We reveal to you an inspired book by Our command. You did not know what the Book was, nor (what) the faith (was), but We made it a light, guiding thereby whom We please of Our servants; and most surely you show the way to the right path:

  37. The path of Allah, Whose is whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth; now surely to Allah do all affairs eventually come.

  38. Therefore hold fast to that which has been revealed to you; surely you are on the right path.

  39. And most surely it is a knowledge of the hour, therefore have no doubt about it and follow me: this is the right path.

  40. Surely Allah is my Lord and your Lord, therefore serve Him; this is the right path:

  41. That Allah may forgive your community their past faults and those to follow and complete His favor to you and keep you on a right way,

  42. Allah promised you many acquisitions which you will take, then He hastened on this one for you and held back the hands of men from you, and that it may be a sign for the believers and that He may guide you on a right path.

  43. What! is he who goes prone upon his face better guided or he who walks upright upon a straight path?
