دُبُر

Appears 10 times in the Quran. (Root: دبر)
  1. They shall by no means harm you but with a slight evil; and if they fight with you they shall turn (their) backs to you, then shall they not be helped.

  2. O you who believe! when you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, then turn not your backs to them.

  3. And they both hastened to the door, and she rent his shirt from behind and they met her husband at the door. She said: What is the punishment of him who intends evil to your wife except imprisonment or a painful chastisement?

  4. And if his shirt is rent from behind, she tells a lie and he is one of the truthful.

  5. So when he saw his shirt rent from behind, he said: Surely it is a guile of you women; surely your guile is great:

  6. And certainly they had made a covenant with Allah before, that) they would not turn (their) backs; and Allah's covenant shall be inquired of.

  7. And if those who disbelieve fight with you, they would certainly turn (their) backs, then they would not find any protector or a helper.

  8. And glorify Him in the night and after the prayers.

  9. Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs.

  10. Certainly if these are driven forth, they will not go forth with them, and if they are fought against, they will not help them, and even if they help-them, they will certainly turn (their) backs, then they shall not be helped.
