And man prays for evil as he ought to pray for good, and man is ever hasty.

17:83 وَإِذَآ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَـَٔا بِجَانِبِهِۦ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ كَانَ يَـُٔوسًا
And when We bestow favor on man, he turns aside and behaves proudly, and when evil afflicts him, he is despairing.

Man is never tired of praying for good, and if evil touch him, then he is despairing, hopeless.

41:51 وَإِذَآ أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَٰنِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَـَٔا بِجَانِبِهِۦ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ فَذُو دُعَآءٍ عَرِيضٍ
And when We show favor to man, he turns aside and withdraws himself; and when evil touches him, he makes lengthy supplications.
